As time goes by...

Okie dokie, I was doing a-ok with this whole waitlist thing until the last month or so when I have been telling everybody who asks..."Any day now!"  I am having those thoughts like...Have they lost our file?  Maybe there is a problem.... What if we don't get through court before rainy season?  The list goes on...Many of you know what I am talking about.  I used to stalk the FBI list multiple times a day and now I just wait for the email notification on my phone for a post to the Gladney Africa message board...(I have decided that is the fastest way to hear stuff.)  I wasn't even able to listen to the update call today for fear I might hear some discouraging news. I find 3:00 is a tough time of day, because I start to realize "the call" probably won't happen that day, but on the flip side, 9:00 am is a very hopeful time...The whole day is ahead of us!  Last night, Katie asked me "What if there aren't any babies left when we go to Ethiopia Mommy?"...From the mouths of babes!  Anyway, I have much to be thankful for and my heart goes out to everyone in the process...especially those experiencing trials much greater than mine.  Here's to 9:00 am tomorrow and another day of possibilities!!  

On a separate note, Katie had 60's day at pre-k today, so I thought I'd share her "Peace and Love" look...

New Blog!

As many of you know, I have been seriously delinquent in my blogging, so I have decided to transfer our blog to blogger, hoping I will be better.  

As far as where we are now...

We have now been waiting 7 1/2 months and have reached the point where are having to update Gladney documents (physicals, criminal background checks, etc)  I never dreamed we would be needing to do this, but here we are...I am hopeful that we will get a referral soon but am also trying to be realistic.  I have really reached the obsessing phase of the wait....checking the FBI list, yahoo groups, email...Sometimes I even think my email must be down since I haven't gotten any messages from the yahoo groups.  Since today is late Friday, I know the window for this week is pretty much closed...Here's to something next week!
